Are you a carer?

There are an estimated 63,000 unpaid adult carers in the county but only 11,000 are known to the Worcestershire Association of Carers. Many of the missing 52,000 people don’t recognise themselves as carers and this seems to be the major problem. Even if a person has a relationship with the person they help, they are still entitled to support. Read more
Volunteer for us

Our volunteers are an integral part of the WAC team. As the first organisation in the county to achieve the gold standard "Investing in Volunteers" award we offer tailor made volunteer programmes to suit your needs. Read more

Carers Assessments

It is your right to have a Carers Assessment. If you’re over 18 and provide regular unpaid care for someone, you’re entitled to a carer’s assessment. Worcestershire Association of Carers (WAC) is the delegated authority for carrying out Carers Assessments across Worcestershire. We complete Carer’s Assessments on behalf of the Local Authority, Worcestershire County Council. Read more

Care4Me

Many carers are having a tough time right now. Whether it’s the cost-of-living crisis having an impact, not being able to get a break or struggling with your own health needs - the life of a care giver can be a challenging one. We want to make this a little easier. So, we have brought together our most popular wellbeing sessions into ONE THREE WEEK PROGRAM which we successfully launched in Tibberton in April this year.
