Learning Disabilities

Learning Disability Carer Representatives

The Carer Voice team recognise and value the voice of carers of those with a learning disability across Worcestershire.  We have an active and vibrant group of carer reps who work hard to represent the views of other carers across the county and beyond.

Your voice matters and we want to hear from you to help inform us about the work we are doing.

Carer Representatives play an active role in the Learning Disability Partnership Board, and it’s sub groups, the LeDer Programme Improving Care for People with a Learning Disability – including work around Annual Health Checks, Transforming Care and much more. So, have your say, we will make sure your voice really does count! Whatever time you have to offer, we want to hear from you!

We are very proud to work in partnership with the Learning Disability Partnership Board.

The Learning Disability Partnership Board aims to implement the Learning Disability Strategy. The LD Strategy has a number of Big Aims, one of which is the Right Support for Carers. The latest version can be found here.

The Right Support for Carers brings together all our carer reps to have a direct say into the Learning Disability Partnership Board. The Right Support for Carers also links directly to the Carers Partnership so that we can positively inform and influence and get better outcomes for all Carers.

The Learning Disability Strategy is currently being refreshed. If you would like to get involved and have your say – you can join us as a carer rep or as an expert by experience. If you want to get involved but not sure how, you can fill out a short form and get in touch with us for an informal chat here.

If you are interested in becoming a carer rep and coming along to a future Learning Disability Partnership Board meeting, and you would like to know what it is all about, you can find the latest meeting minutes here.

If you have any further questions please get in touch!
