What’s in your First Aid Toolkit Event–

Session for carers all about Mental Health

On Monday 16th October as part of our 20th year celebrations and partnership working with the Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust and Worcestershire  Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, we put on a carer wellbeing event titled “What’s in your Mental Health Toolkit”.

The event, ran by Jane Taylor from Worcestershire Association of Carers and Sarah Taylor-Robinson from Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust was attended by nearly 50 people and we were overwhelmed with the positive feedback received.

Carers were given hints and tips on positive mental health, resources and factsheets to take away and a short introduction to mindfulness which produced fantastic quotes from carers such as "Its lovely being able to learn new skills to benefit us and the people we care for” and "This is the first time I have attended a WAC event and was VERY impressed".

Sarah Taylor Robinson, from Worcestershire Health and Care Trust said "It is really great to have this strong partnership with Worcestershire Association of Carers and is certainly making a difference and assisting us to improve how we support carers".

We also now offer wellbeing sessions to carers. To have a look at any that may suit you please go to:
