Each year Carers Rights Day brings organisations across the UK together to help carers in their local community find out how to get the help and support they are entitled to. This year's theme is Know Your Rights.

Whether you are a new carer or have been caring for someone for a while, it’s important that you understand your rights. It is critical that you are able to access the support that is available to you, as soon as you need it.

WAC want to empower carers with information and support. We also want carers to know how to challenge things when their rights are not being met.

If you are a carer and would like information and support regarding your own well-being, assessments you are entitled to or how your support needs can be met, please contact us on 0300 012 4272, or click HERE to use the self-referral button.

We are running a couple of special carers sessions for Carers Rights Day:

Thurs 26th November - Preparing and Planning to Pay for Care

What can we expect from our Local Authority when it comes to funding residential or care homes for a loved-one? Our financial advisor discusses this important subject to ensure you are prepared and know what your rights are.

Friday 27th November - A Conversation with Carers about the NHS

Join us at the next STP forum to have your say on what support you need as a carer in the NHS across Herefordshire & Worcestershire and help shape future plans.

SHARE THE MESSAGE!

Let’s try and reach as many carers in Worcestershire as possible and let them know help, support and information is out there for them:

- Follow us on FacebookInstagram and Twitter and share our posts to spread the word about Carers Rights Day.

- Take a photo of yourself or your family/ friends/ team holding one of our posters below and share it on social media with the hashtag #WorcsCRD2020.
