‘My name is Gary, and in January 2018 I packed up work to be a full time carer for my 84 year old father in law. To say it was a shock to the system is an understatement.

I didn’t know what I was meant to be doing. Then out of the blue came Caring with Confidence organised by Worcestershire Association of Carers.

I booked to do the sessions; and just being in a room with people that are going through what I was going through really helped. Gradually the fog lifted.

By the end I wanted to try and raise some money for WAC. I organised a charity fishing competition this Christmas and we raised more than £1350 for a great bunch of people doing great work.’
