In the last census (2011) there were approximately 63,000 carers in Worcestershire. Are you a carer? Worcestershire Young Carers aims to support children and young people who help to look after a parent, guardian or sibling within their home, who is ill or has a disability. 3 in 5 people will become a carer at some point in their lives Becoming a carer for the first time or recognising you are a carer can be overwhelming. You have extra responsibilities yet you may not know where to turn for support. Although caring can be rewarding, we also know it can also be exhausting. Asking for information and advice at the right time can make a big difference in looking after your own needs and the person you care for. Our specially trained Carer Pathway team is available to discuss your caring role, the impact that this is having on your wellbeing and offer you information and advice tailored to your needs.
