How it works?
Virtual Races work the same as any other running race, however, with virtual races you can run from anywhere in the world whenever you want. You also get to pick how you do it! Have a gym membership? Perfect. Jump on the treadmill to hit your target. Prefer running outside? That's fine too! It is completely up to you how you complete your race. All we ask is that when you complete your race, you email us your evidence and the medal will be yours.
Virtual races are a great way to get fit and stay active all year round, run for a good cause and get some WACky medals for your participation!
Joining our virtual races is as easy as 1, 2, 3.
Currently, we only have one race to choose from: Faster Than a Couch Potato 5K. Sign up to the race and start working your way towards earning that WACky medal. By registering for a race with us, you will be supporting some of the 63,000 unpaid adult carers in Worcestershire.
You can complete your virtual race at the gym, at the park, while you're away on holiday, on a treadmill, with a group of friends, or any other way that might come to mind! Just starting to get fit? That's fine too! You can run, jog or walk your way to earning these medals! Go at a pace that you are most comfortable with.
After you have completed your race, all we ask is that you submit evidence that you have completed your race. You can do this by emailing us a screenshot from a running/fitness app, picture of your watch, or a picture of the treadmill time. Have a different way of proving your time? Just let us know. If you don't feel comfortable sharing your time with us, that is fine too, we just ask that you email us to let us know that you have completed it. To email, please send to: [email protected]. Afraid you might forget to let us know? That's fine, we'll send a reminder email when the deadline is starting to near! We will update our website so that you can see who are the top 5 fastest runners for each race.
That's the easy part. We aim to mail out all medals by the end of each month. So if you signed up for a race in February, it should be with you be the end of the month or early March.
