There are ever increasing numbers of people with Long Covid experiencing more adverse effects, for longer. In support many more family, friends and neighbours are becoming unpaid carers. Some navigating their way through poorly visible services, building upon their own knowledge and resources, for others becoming isolated and unaware of the support networks available to them.

As an extension to our Long Covid Carer Support Service we are starting a monthly Long Covid Carer Peer Support Group, initially online which will be facilitated by one of our staff.

By bringing together people who have shared experience of supporting someone with Long Covid we aim to provide a safe space where people feel accepted, understood and able to give and receive  support.

We will facilitate to provide a safe and supportive environment and arrange by request, guest speakers to answer questions, update and add to the knowledge base in the room.

To register for these sessions email Nick Gayton [email protected] or call our helpline on 0300 012 4272.

Monthly sessions ongoing from May 2022, dates TBC.

Joining online is simple. All you need to do is book a place and we will email you a link that you will need to click at the relevant time and date (you might need to check your spam and junk mail folder). All you need is access to the internet, a phone, laptop, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone (most laptops and phones have this built in now).
