It’s Time to Talk Day on Thursday 4th February 2021 – the day we get the nation talking about mental health.

For people with mental health problems, being unable to talk about it can be one of the worst parts of the illness. By getting people engaging in mental health matters, we can break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that affects us all.

Opening up about your mental health will allow you to express how you truly feel and it gives others a chance to help you by guiding you through the difficult times. Remember - talking about your feelings isn’t a sign of weakness; it’s part of taking charge of your well-being and doing what you can to stay healthy.

This year's theme is the Power of Small because, even a brief chat about mental health has the power to make a big difference. Once we start reaching out to those around us and discussing the issues we are concerned about, we can quickly learn that it is okay not to be okay.

See our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter posts on the 4th February where we will be sharing positivity, signposting people to support and helping to change attitudes towards mental health.
