Covid Booster Jabs Message from Worcestershire County Council 'There is a huge drive nationally to get as many eligible people as possible to have their Covid booster jabs. This is even more important now with the ongoing spread of the Omicron variant up and down the country. A booster dose helps improve the protection you have from your first two doses of the vaccine. It helps to give you longer-term protection against getting seriously ill from Covid. We would encourage anyone who hasn’t had their booster jab yet, to book it now. If it’s been 2 months since you had your second dose of the Covid jab and you want to book a booster, then please go to the Covid-19 Vaccination - NHS website Although you can pre-book a booster dose from 2 months (61 days) after your 2nd dose, the appointment dates you'll be offered will be from 3 months (91 days) after your 2nd dose. There are also some walk-in booster clinics open across Worcestershire. Please ensure you are 3 months (91 days) after your 2nd dose for walk in clinics. The County Council is offering transport to and from vaccination clinics for some people who do not their own means of transport to get to a clinic. This is being offered through our Here2Help service. If you need transport to get your booster jab, then please call 01905 768053 and choose option 3 or go to the Here2Help website. Update: if you or the person you care for are unable to leave your home for your booster or vaccinations, please get in touch with Worcestershire Association of Carers.
