Getting Involved
Consultative Groups
Worcestershire Association of Carers supports carers to take an active role in decision making. To help us achieve this we are a member of a number of consultation groups which allow members of the NHS, County Council and different charities to discuss with carers about important decisions that affect carers across the county. If you are a carer and would like to be involved with these meetings please contact us on 01905 751340. Please see below for more information:

A little of your time could make a big difference!
Carers Count is a project run by Worcestershire Association of Carers to support family carers of people with learning disabilities to get involved and get their voices heard in consultation groups, and in the development and shaping of services for people with learning disabilities in Worcestershire.

Legacies
A legacy is a donation left to a charity in your Will. It is a lasting gift, so the causes you feel passionate about in life can continue long into the future.
A legacy can be large or small and does not have to be a choice between your family, friends or favourite charity. You can easily include them all, providing security for loved ones and your continued support for Worcestershire Association of Carers.
It's easy to include a gift to our charity in your Will, but you should always consult a professional, such as a solicitor or financial adviser, to be sure your Will reflects your exact intentions and you understand tax implications.
A legacy of any size really makes a difference in our ability to help carers across Worcestershire. When you are next considering writing or updating your Will, all you would have to do is contact your professional advisers and tell them the sum (or percentage of your estate) that you would like to leave us. Your adviser will need only our charity name, address and registered charity number.
Suggested wording is:
"I give... to Worcestershire Association of Carers, registered charity number 1071850 for its general charitable purposes."
Easy Fundraising
easyfundraising is the simplest way to raise funds for your good cause. You shop online with your favourite stores and you raise money at the same time. It's that easy.
They work with thousands of well known retailer including Amazon, Tesco, Argos, Vodafone and many more. These
retailers love supporting good causes and will donate a percentage of your spend to your cause when you shop with them through the easyfundraising site.
For example, spend £50 with Amazon and you'll raise £1.25. Insure your car with the RAC and they'll donate up to £30 to your cause. Take out a new mobile contract with Vodafone and raise up to £45.00...we could go on!
What's more, they work closely with their retailers to find voucher codes and discounts so you can save money on your shopping too.
How you can raise funds to support carersin three simple steps:
1. Firstly, register for free and select Worcestershire Association of Carers as the cause you wish to support.
2. When you've registered, you're ready to shop and raise money! Simply click on the retailer you want, then shop as you would normally. When you make a purchase, easy fundraising will send you an email telling you how much you've raised and pass the donation to your cause.
3. That's it! We tried to think of step 3, but we couldn't - it's just that easy.
