Carers in Touch

"The more you know, the better you can care"
the motto of the Carers in Touch project -
The Information and Helpline Service for all carers across the County
« Home Page «
The project helps carers to:
    - Be better able to identify themselves as carers
    - Be better informed about support and services
    - Have greater confidence in knowing their rights
    - Feel less isolated
    - Feel more secure as individuals and as families

The services are intended to help -
those people who are carers and don't realise it
those who feel 'trapped' by their situation

The project is working to contact these 'hidden' carers across the county through as many different ways as possible
There are over 57,000 carers in the county, with over 15,500 caring for more than 20 hours a week. Many carers also work
Difficulties in getting information is one of the major obstacles carers face.

The helpline telephone number is 01905 26500
