The project helps carers to:
    - Be better able to identify themselves as carers     - Be better informed about support and services     - Have greater confidence in knowing their rights     - Feel less isolated     - Feel more secure as individuals and as families The services are intended to help -     those people who are carers and don't realise it     those who feel 'trapped' by their situation The project is working to contact these 'hidden' carers across the county through as many different ways as possible There are over 57,000 carers in the county, with over 15,500 caring for more than 20 hours a week. Many carers also work Difficulties in getting information is one of the major obstacles carers face.
